My Hustle vs. My Flow
Hello Darlings,
I know it has been a while but I’m finally learning how to balance my hustle and my passion. I’ve been little absent over the past couple of months trying to diligently work my hustle concurrently with my passion especially when the hustle pays the bills. At times the hustle (referring to my paid gig) can require so much of our time we run short of time and focus on the things that matter. Not to say that my hustle carries less value because it’s the 1st financial supplier for my lifestyle.
The repetitive process can become cumbersome and/or daunting. But I do believe through my hustle, determination, and faith my passion will turn into something prosperous for my wallet, my soul and a way to help inspire others. Sometimes it boggles my mind how the things we are so passionate about can have the least impact. Well, those words may not be the best choice of words because it may have an impact that we just can’t see at that moment in time. But with my determination, I will continue to press forward because in the end what is meant to be will be my true purpose.
What is it about the word hustle that is encouraging or discouraging? For me, words bring life to my daily actions. We are conditioned to think that if we do not hustle we are not working hard enough. if we do not have a hustle, we have no purpose. Or if we do not hustle, nothing will come to you. Most of us from urban areas are also conditioned to believe or understand hustle as an illegal activity. I believe a lot of times when the word is used it is used very loosely and/or not within the realm of its Webster’s definition. The word hustle could take on various meanings which are our perspective. So never let anyone downplay your hustle.
Have you ever wanted something so bad, that seemed so simple, easy to achieve but the most difficult to obtain? Lately, that has been my challenge but that little voice in head and soul tells me to not give, keep pushing, you got this, girls rock, spread your Black Girl magic and don’t give up. I am here to encourage you to keep moving forward your hard work will eventually pay off. I’m so determined on my passion I will never give up because my goals won’t allow me to. But one thing I do know, never let your hustle supersede your passion continue to keep your passion, keep networking and aligning those things that flourish your passion. I believe with everything in me that it will come to fruition.
