What if I fail, but oh darling what if you fly.
This happens to be one of my favorite quotes, many of us live through the fear of the “what if's”. Whether it's consciously or subconsciously, we are sitting on a dream, a passion, a career, an opportunity all because of the “what if’s”. Our fails outweigh our flight before we even try because of the unknown or unforeseen flight. I'm here today to encourage and challenge you to go beyond the “what if's”. I too, am guilty of sitting on my opportunities of flight because of the fears of what if this, what if that but you have to ask yourself, what if I fly. It's one of those things you will never truly know until you try or fly.
What carries more value to you, the results or the process? If you fail at an attempt is it over for you, NO. For me, the process weighs more because it is the stepping tool for flying. A pilot cannot fly a plane without training but once he goes through the process and training he can soar the skies. With this being said, we must pay attention and focus on the process, so we can achieve the ultimate goal. We have to look past the what if’s and give the process our all. We can’t live in fear of failure, what others will think, etc. We must look past that and focus on what we’re trying to achieve or obtain.
I have a few endeavors over the past couple of years I’m looking forward to tapping in but I’ll be honest the “what if’s” have sat in and got comfortable. All I can think about at times if I had started this when the idea came what effect will that have on me and the people around. I have allowed the “what if’s” to sit in without even putting forth my best effort. So trust and believe, it’s not just you. Most of us with hopes and dreams can relate to this in some sense. I want to encourage and support you in just giving the dream a try. If you try and fail to, be thankful for the experience to and get up and try again. If you do succeed live every day using your skill, gift, talent or try as a story or testimony to encourage others.
