As 2017 ends and 2018 quickly approaches, I always like to take time and reflect on new adventures, new goals, and the many other blessings to come in the new year. As I look back over 2017 with so much gratitude it warms my heart in what God has done and has in store. Many make resolutions that they either succeed, never attempt or miserably fail at, so I try to keep my new year endeavors simple and realistic. It's the simple things above that matter and will trickle some positivity into your life.

I reflect on the rewarding career he has given me over the past 9 years, as I anticipate a prosperous career through my passion for 2018. 2017 allowed me to take steps in the direction of manifesting my passion for writing, styling, design and stepping out the box of fear. And I'm believing in 2018 that my passion will open up new business relationships that will be fulfilling, inspiring to others, successful and lucrative in many ways. Even though, being an educator has been a humbling and pleasant experience my arms are wide open to the new opportunities 2018 will bring.

I started this blog to initiate style and creative collaborative discussions with other fashion and style-forward individuals. Not knowing how it would flourish but following my heart and the business plan established. I'm humbly thankful for those that follow the blog's progress, feedback given, the out pour of love and welcome others as they join this artistic movement. I hope the art and style enthusiast that I have come to love will empower others. Your unique creativity is defined by you and not by others.

So as we end this year, I want to encourage everyone to take this time to show gratitude, spread love and hope to others. Purge the unnecessary people, de-clutter cluttered spaces in your life and make room for new opportunities. Spend more time with the ones you love because many were not fortunate enough to make it to the new year. Do not allow others to place their fears on you and your dreams you seek to accomplish. Surround yourself with people that motivate you. Get together with family and friends, bag lunches for the homeless, gather old blankets or items you no longer need and help the less fortunate during the cold season. It's the season to give back not just for the holidays but in the days, weeks or months moving forward. Remember to not let anyone stop or steer your dreams or hustle, keep pushing! I'm a southern girl so time to start cooking greens, black-eye peas and cornbread to bring in 2018 good fortune.
